Performing Arts

At Langwarrin Primary School, the Performing Arts program offers every student the opportunity to explore and develop their talents across Music, Dance, and Drama. Our engaging curriculum is designed to inspire creativity, build confidence, and encourage teamwork from Prep through to Grade 6.

Students learn to read music, play instruments, sing, dance, and act. They participate in a wide variety of fun and enriching activities, including musical games, role-play, improvisation, and choreographed routines. These experiences help students grow both artistically and socially in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Performance is a key part of our program. Students regularly showcase their work during school assemblies, Arts Night, and the end-of-year celebration. They also perform within the classroom and take part in co-curricular groups such as the school choir, rock band, drama ensembles, and dance troupes, all of which rehearse weekly and perform throughout the year.

A standout event on the school calendar is the annual Grade 6 and Prep Musical. This production brings students and staff together for a week of vibrant performances in Term 3 and is a true celebration of the Performing Arts at LPS. It is a memorable experience for everyone involved and reflects the dedication, energy, and talent of our school community.
